CANDLEMAS                    2019
Saturday     Feb 2nd
 7:00 pm

Everyone is invited to be part of a beautiful Service of Light to celebrate Candlemas.

All Anglican parishes of the Greater St. Catharines Area will gather in Market Square for this inspiring service along with the music of Mari and George Express.

First celebrated in the 4th Century AD, when the earliest sermons on the Feast were given in Jerusalem. The Roman consul Justin introduced the celebration to the Roman Empire in 521 AD.

Fellowship over hot chocolate will follow the service - (no hot chocolate was recorded as being provided at the feast in the 4th century). We are truly blessed.

Come and be part of this spectacular moment as we stay warm and push back the darkness.

Let us all join together as bearers of light in the Compassionate City of St. Catharines and the Niagara area.

Note: this is the last night of Winterlicious—affordable fine dining in downtown St. Catharines. Consider going out for dinner to support a local restaurant and then participate in the worship service.
