Music

Ken Hutton is the Choir Director and Organist

St. Thomas’ has a large voluntary choir who sing at the 10:30 Sunday morning service. A 1974 three manual Casavant pipe organ supports a strong tradition of hymn-singing and choral music in a wonderfully resonant space. Music for worship is further enhanced by the use of the piano and other wind and string instruments.

Young people age 8 and up form the first soprano section of the choir. They practice Thursday evenings 6:45 to 8:00. The young people have graded instruction in the church School during the sermon portion of the worship service.

Choir practice is on Thursdays from 7:30 to 9:00

Frequent use of instrumentalists enhance the worship service

On Good Friday, 2005 the choir augmented by additional singers and orchestra performed John Rutter's Requiem

Liturgical dancers are sometimes used to enhance a service
